Purpose of the consultancy:
An international consultant will be responsible for providing technical support in developing the NAP on GBV prevention, specific focus on domestic violence 2024-2030 as per the national legislation. The consultant will work closely with national consultant/s and DV sub-council members to bring in the international best practices, applicable to the local context.

Qualifications and requirements
- Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or any other relevant field of study.
- At least 8 years of experience in working with gender-based violence programme development.
- Demonstrated understanding of primary prevention of GBV, including global and regional evidence and what effective strategies and interventions for GBV prevention focusing on behavioral change and drivers of harmful social norms.
- Prior global and regional experience in development of gender-based violence programmes, studies, and research, reports, and strategies.
- Ability to develop a strong partnership with the relevant local partners and stakeholders in all levels.
- Familiarity or knowledge on Mongolia's context and landscape on GBV is an asset.
- Previous work experience with UNFPA or other UN agencies in a similar thematic area is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, research, and report writing skills.
- Excellent oral and written English Language skills are required.
