SAVING LIVES, SAVING MONEY: Financing Family Planning Commodities in Mongolia
Providing family planning services is one of the most cost-effective investments governments can make to improve health and promote economic development. In Mongolia, increasing the investments on contraceptive commodities could avoid thousands of unnecessary deaths and morbidities – and in turn, it could avert almost $7.5 million dollars spent on direct healthcare costs.
2017 National Study on Gender based violence in Mongolia
We have the pleasure to present the report of the very first nation-wide survey on gender-based violence, using internationally recognized methodologies. The research has been carried out by the National Statistics Office (NSO) with technical assistance by UNFPA. Given the highly sensitive nature of the subject-matter, the survey has been conducted under the name “Women’s life health and life experience”.
More UNFPA Mongolia Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP)
The Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA) concluded between the Government of Mongolia and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) dated 28 September 1976 (the “Basic Agreement”) mutatis mutandis and the exchange of the letters between the Government of Mongolia and UNFPA in 1992 apply to the activities and personnel of UNFPA in Mongolia. This CPAP together with nay work plan concluded hereunder, which shall form part of this CPAP and is incorporated herein by reference, constitutes the project document as referred to in the Basic Agreement. References in the Basic Agreement to “Executing Agency” shall be deemed to refer to “Implementing Partner” as such term is defined in the Financial Regulations of UNFPA and used in this CPAP and any work plans concluded hereunder.

QUALITATIVE STUDY ON FAMILY PLANNING IN MONGOLIA 2016
It is a great pleasure to introduce the results of the three studies which the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Mongolia commissioned in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Sports: “Situation Analysis of Family Planning”; “Survey on Availability of Modern Contraceptives and Essential Life-Saving Maternal and Reproductive Health Medicines in Service Delivery Points”; and “Qualitative Study on Family Planning”. Although, these studies have been conducted independently in the last two years, we have packaged them together, so that current challenges on family planning are analysed and addressed in a holistic manner.
