DONATE NOW! Fundraising Campaign for Victims of Gender-based Violence/ Domestic Violence in Mongolia

31 May 2017

Imagine that you are fleeing a violent spouse, partner or household. Imagine that you are escaping physical abuse to protect yourself and maybe even your children. Imagine trying to escape to save your life. Where would you go? What would you bring with you? How much time would you have to prepare for your departure? How would you even begin to change your situation?

In Mongolia, victims of domestic violence seeking help can go to One Stop Service Centers and shelters which are supported by the United Nations Population Fund. However, the resources at these centers and shelters are limited. In spite of recent progress in the approval of the Revised Law to Combat Domestic Violence in Mongolia, responding to and helping victims has many challenges including the shortage of resources to meet the victims' most basic needs.  Watch our video and see how you can make a difference in the lives of women who seek shelter from violence and get assistance at these centers, simply by providing essentials such as food, clothing, and toiletries.
