The Mongolia Country Office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), an international development agency, is inviting prospective individuals to provide consultancy services.

Consultancy:

National consultant for development of Simulation centers’ logistics and maintenance guidelines

Duration

The consultancy period will be for 2 months

Purpose of the consultancy:
The overall objective of this individual consultancy is to provide technical support for operational guideline development for simulation centers’ logistics and maintenance

The specific focus of this consultancy will be paid on job description of technicians and training coordinators for clinical skills suits. Moreover, he/she needs to work with the project team on emergency obstetric care drilling programme design and course contents with adaptation from international trainings such as PROMPT and ICOE

Key deliverables from the consultancy: 

  • Simulation center operational guideline with well-defined job description of each staff
  • Training modules with drilling stations

Required Skills and Experience:

Advanced degree in public health and medical education, and/or social sciences

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience of working in the MCH and sexual and reproductive health sector
  • Experience in clinical teaching and policy guidelines development, and delivering timely results under pressure, and
  • Adequate knowledge of setting international training standards for quality improvement

Language requirement:

  • Mongolian native speakers
  • Fluency in English (both in reading and writing), including the ability to review professional resource materials
  • Excellent skills in translation of related papers and adaptation in local settings

Competencies:

  • Excellent skills in team work and facilitation of workshops
  • Adequate level of communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict timeline
  • Knowledgeable about issues of human rights, sexual and reproductive health, gender, population, and statistics and policy research in general

  • All-inclusive price quotation (the quotation is subject to negotiation by UNFPA should it exceed allowed threshold).
