The Mongolia Country Office of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), an international development agency, is inviting prospective individuals to provide consultancy services.

Roster translators and interpreters for Sign language

Duration

The consultancy period will be for 11 months

Purpose of the consultancy:

UNFPA Mongolia Country office will hire interpreters as roster for Sign language interpretation service.

The interpreters are required to provide its interpretation service in UNFPA’s specific area as follow:

  • Gender; Gender-Based Violence; Domestic violence
  • Health; HIV/AIDS/STI; COVID-19; Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights; Maternal health
  • Population development; youth development and education; family planning; adolescent health; early childhood development
  • Legal documents related to the areas above

Required qualifications:

Required education and qualifications:

  • Secondary Education is the requirement. Bachelor’s Degree in Gender, Medicine or Social science would be desirable, but it is not a mandatory requirement.
  • To have at least five (5) years of proven experience in providing sign language interpretation service
  • Mongolian language fluency is the requirement, and English language fluency would be an advantage.

  • Ability to provide high-quality services
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

  2. CV outlining academic and professional experience
  3. At least 3 reference letters.
  4. All-inclusive price quotation (the quotation is subject to negotiation by UNFPA should it exceed allowed threshold).
